I’m all for paying a higher price and investing money into bags and shoes (on rare occasions, I do break down and splurge on brand pieces that are classic and/or will stay fashionable for years to come.). However, in general, when it comes to clothes, I am more cautious on the pieces that I spend my money on, especially items like skirts because let’s face it, more often than not they get forgotten at the back of the closet due to the simple fact that it takes a little more planning to come up with a quick ensemble with a skirt – unless it’s a plain classic pencil skirt as that’s usually easier to combine with a top. Having said that, this fashion forward Robert Rodriguez skirt is definitely a classic, but if it’s not in the budget as of now, this cool high waist black and white stripe pleated skirt is a great alternative that is just as chic and stylish.
