“Heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race. There are people dying if you care enough for the living. Make it a better place for you and for me…”
Last week, as the hubby and I were driving we came to a stop light only to witness this guy emptying his car of all its garbage, dumping it right onto the street as all the liquid in the cups spilled out – all the while only less than seven steps away from the city garbage container next to his parked car. Needless to say, we were repulsed by seeing it and often wonder what goes on in the minds of someone like that? In this case, I guess nothing.
Earth day is such an excellent time to stop and appreciate the beautiful home that God went to great lengths to prepare for us – called Earth. He’s given us this planet with all the amazing gifts that nature provides us without charge. We’re in effect, given free tenancy. Reflecting upon this fact is a powerful tool in helping us to maintain our beautiful earthly home. Instead of proving to be a bad tenant – ruining the earth, let today be the day that each of us as an individual view it as our duty to save the environment’s beauty by doing our part. This is our planet! Let’s protect it, let’s nurture nature, so that we can benefit by having a better future. If you can’t clean your surrounding, then don’t make it dirty.
Nature is our treasure. Help save it!
