Contemplating Some Lucite Chairs

August 2, 2013

Of the many passing trends, one that has proven strong in design is the classic Lucite. Although for years I loved the look of them in a finished room, I always felt they were uncomfortable until recently, after working with a client who was set on having them in her conference room. I reluctantly placed the order thinking how very disappointed she was going to be when she sits in them. Surprisingly for me, they turned out to be comfortable and I didn’t have to deal with the whole returning saga. Ever since then, I’ve been wanting to add them in my own personal home décor (specially the Louis XV style), but never really had the space for them until now! I’m contemplating getting two for our small breakfast room. Lucite not only adds a touch of whimsy, but the translucent material makes them visually disappear which is perfect for a small space, adding a touch of radiance to the room.

I really like the blush and yellow colors. Now, which color should I choose? It’s hard to decide, but I think I already have an idea.

The armless ones might be much more practical for my space though. Decisions, decisions.
