What were your thoughts on this year’s 85th Oscars show? Am I the only one who thought it was a never going to end and that it was the longest Academy show ever? I also didn’t get a lot of those speeches, but then again, when you’re a star making beaucoup money…who cares if you make sense or not…you’re still viewed as amazing and worthy of millions of dollars. But, let’s be honest, most of us only watch for the fashion, hair-dos, makeup and jewelry right? So, why don’t we get right to it? Let’s chat about some of those elegant gowns that graced the red carpet. Some were just amazing. Here are some of my favorites:
No.1 gown pick
Stacy Keibler keeping with the gunmetal trend looked very stunning in the sparkly shiny slick Naeem Khan gown that flattered her svelte body flawlessly. I’m in love with the glittery embellishments.
No.2
Halle Berry always looks fabulous in her fashion choices. That Versace dress was amazing although I did not really care for the strong shoulder structure. It took away the femininity of the dress which is a letdown.
No.3
Naomi Watts’s custom gunmetal sequined Giorgio Armani gown was just spectacular! I love that her gown had a modest pooling of a trail instead of an over the top one because after all, it’s not your wedding day where you need a long trail following you.
No. 4
Salma Hayek I loved the halter neckline here and the jet-black belt. But the gown’s sheer chiffon back was just as beautiful.
No.5
Nicole Kidman sparkled in a L’Wren Scott gown that I thought was dramatic and fitted her perfectly. I love bling, so it was a no brainer choice for me to pick as one of my faves.
No. 6
Amanda Seyfried looked stunning in this most gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress. I love the dramatic neckline.
No. 7
Zoe Saldana would have been an ideal gown without all the fussy details on top. I think the asymmetric hem detail was enough for that gown, but it was certainly a unique gown by Alexis Mabille. I picked it nonetheless for the beautiful hem. You? Which ones were your favorites?

I am in love with Alexander McQueen's gowns and of course you can never go wrong with Armani (if you can afford it; I can't lol). I wasn't sure how I felt about the gunmetal but was pushed to the good side after viewing the Red Carpet!
