Goals Of 2013

January 3, 2013

People often ask me if I make new years resolutions and the answer is – I don’t believe in making new years resolutions. I believe if changes need to be made there’s no reason to wait – make the change – start now. However, I do make lists of short-term and long-term goals for myself because after all, a life without goals is like a basket ball player playing without a hoop. For life to have direction, goals are essential, if not, life becomes aimless drifting which can leave one feeling unfulfilled, restless, frustrated and even depressed. These are some of my goals that I plan to tackle for 2013.

1. Finish my to-do list of all the odds and ends of photo/files organizing*

2. Focus more on the positive and less on the negative

3. Take time to visit museums more often

4. Go to more Broadway shows

5. Spend more time outdoors

6. Read books on my must-read books list

7. Spend less time on the computer and social media

8. Work smarter – not harder

9. Write daily notes to the hubby

10. Make my special Mulled Wine for friends

11. Take a photography class

12. Get back on my exercise routine consistently

* I still have a folder on my computer loaded with an amalgam of design inspiration photos that I can’t wait to organize categorically, so I won’t feel overwhelmed looking at them and will serve the proper purpose – which is to inspire. Stay tuned for those photos.

Beautiful philosophy on resolutions! We can make changes and adjustments any time. Also I love your goal list! Attainable goals are key – one step at a time… One day at a time! Keep us posted as you fulfill them!
